Steve Parkinson

Steve has over 26 years experience in the Life and Pensions market including significant time in senior management roles in Legal & General (L&G), Lincoln Financial Group and Capita.

During his time at L&G, he was Marketing Director of their IFA Division when they were successfully re-building their business and as such has a good understanding of their requirements for a provider to thrive in this distribution channel. The majority of his career at L&G was spent in the Sales & Marketing Environment interfacing with distribution channels on a regular basis.

At Lincoln, Steve played a major role in re-shaping the business following the sale of the direct sales force to Inter-Alliance and led a number of the initiatives that improved the service to both end customers and intermediaries significantly.

Steve ran the process that selected Capita as an outsource partner for Lincoln in 2002. Capita Life & Pensions Services Ltd (CLPS) was formed in August 2002 at which time Steve joined Capita and in January 2003 he became Managing Director of CLPS.

Steve is responsible for service delivery to Capita Life & Pensions’ existing clients and the further development of the business.

Following the appointment of provisional liquidators in June 2001 Richard became a member of the Operations Board of Aurora Corporate Services, the company formed to manage the run off of Independent Insurance. He was instrumental in the successful sale of the organisation to Capita in February 2003 and, as operations director, managed the transition and integration into Capita.
