Capita HR and Payroll Services today announced the launch of a fully managed payroll service for the Central College of Commerce in Glasgow. The contract, which will run over a three year period, will ensure that all college employees will benefit from quicker and easier access to payroll information.

Fares Samara, Director at Central College of Commerce, comments, "Our decision to work with Capita was based on the fact that they were able to tailor the payroll solution to address our specific needs. This is just the first stage of our initiative to integrate our existing HR systems with the ultimate goal of developing an employee portal by January 2005."

Implemented in under two months, the project involved the transfer of the payroll system from a database at Glasgow City Council to Capita's Managed Payroll Centre in Cambridge. The service was successfully launched this month and currently manages the payroll for over 300 employees. As the college grows, it will also benefit from another key feature of the new system which allows it to be fully scalable and address fluctuations in demand.
