People are the key to growing our business  

Capita needs to attract the right mix of people who will assist us in running and growing our business. Our company culture is one of strong leadership. Investing in skills and developing our people is critical to our future prosperity.

In 2009 we enhanced our apporach to training and introdcued the Capita Managers Academy, providing courses for managers that equip them to help deliver our business strategy, respond to clients' needs and manage and support our people effectively. Managers who complete a range of business and personal development courses have the opporunity to gain an externally accredited IML Level 3 qualification in first line management. 

We aim to provide all our employees with a supportive work environment where they can develop their full potential. As the Group has expanded we have been able to offer broader opportunities to our employees, making us increasingly attractive to people looking for a challenging and varied career.

Our success and financial strength means that we can also offer a stable working environment and are able to avoid significant job losses.  However, there are times when we need to take action to manage down the size of our workforce. When this occurs we effectively manage this situation using the processes which have been developed through our experience of delivering major change programmes. We ensure our managers are equipped to follow correct supportive procedures and we do all we can to find suitable roles elsewhere in the Group.

We have a relatively flat management structure which enables fast decision making, team working and support across the Group and enables open access and communication for all our people.
