Companies use a wide variety of approaches to assess the impact that their activities are having on society as a whole. We measure and report on our impacts both internally through our management reporting and externally through our CR report. We also participate in a number of benchmarking surveys.
FTSE4Good
Capita is included in the FTSE4Good index for socially responsible investment. The index measures the performance of companies that meet globally recognised corporate responsibility standards on CR We choose to participate in this index because its criteria more appropriately reflect the impacts and risks of a service business.
Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World
Capita has been included in the Global 100 list of the most sustainable large corporations in the world for the second year running. Companies are judged according to how effectively they manage environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities.
The Carbon Trust Standard
Capita were awarded The Carbon Trust Standard (for two of our divisions), recognising that we are committed to measuring, managing and reducing our carbon emissions.
London Benchmarking Group (LBG)
Capita is a member of the London Benchmarking Group (LBG), a group of over 100 companies working together to improve the measurement and management of community involvement.
Business in the Community (BITC)
Capita is a member of Business in the Community (BITC), an independent outreach charity set up by leading business organisations. It aims to inspire, engage, support and challenge companies on responsible business, working through four areas: Community, Environment, Marketplace and Workplace.
Great Places to Work survey
We engage with the Great Places to Work programme annually. By surveying our staff independently this allows us to identify challenges and solutions to create a supportive work environment encouraging a motivated and loyal workforce.
