Case studies

AquAid

Since 2004 we have been sourcing our drinking water from AquAid . AquAid support Christian Aid and Pump Aid in their work to relieve poverty in Africa and provide clean drinking water to children in Sub-Saharan and southern Africa by installing water pumps. Since our partnership with AquAid began we have donated over £20,000 to Christain Aid and paid for the installation of 476 elephant pumps in Africa.

Capita Adventure Challenge

On Saturday 26 April, a glorious spring day saw eighty two teams descend on the grounds of Kelmarsh Hall in Northamptonshire to compete in the third annual Capita Challenge.

Capita Charity Recycling Scheme

We set up a recycling scheme at the end of 2006 to recycle all our printer cartridges, mobile phones or Blackberrys, both those used in our offices and those used personally by our employees .

TV Licensing transition communications

Capita was awarded the 10 years TV Licensing contract by the BBC. In the five-month period between appointment and contract start, we planned and executed all aspects of the transfer of staff and operations from the previous contractor. Our transition team transferred 1,500 staff to Capita under TUPE arrangements.

Business in the Community (BITC) Award

A Capita employee collected the 'Volunteer of the Year award' at the Business in the Community (BITC)'s Annual Yorkshire and Humber Regional Awards for Excellence.

Contact centre accreditation

The Customer Contact Association (CCA) is the professional body for the contact centre industry. It is an independent organisation with more than 600 public and private sector members and its key objective is to improve standards from both the user and employee perspective.
